It's a beautiful afternoon here: 35 C above zero outside, 23 C above zero inside. My feet are slightly freezing from ac! Why not to have a cup of coffee?! Usually I'd make myself frappe, but this time my choice fell for Cyprus coffee which has slightly similar taste to the Turkish one. I finished my coffee in just one sip. Yum!
...So I was wondering, what is your midday beverage if you have one? And where are you more likely having it?
Have a great day everyone!

A touch of France on a Tuesday afternoon
While my sweetheart was at work I went for "coffee" with one of my favorite girlfriends this afternoon... She originally asked me to become her shopping companion for one day, but i couldn't be bothered to go for shopping with her because there is nothing better than shopping on your own and buying things that YOU like, not your girlfriend, who loves whatever you try on :)) Does this situation sound any familiar to you, my dear readers?
....So there was I running late rushing into Mondo cafe where SHE was waiting for one certain guilty girl. After a long conversation about almost everything that two sophisticated ladies can talk about (finance, art, future, cinema, fashion, a little bit of fresh gossips, men, shopping... you name it.
At this point we had already finished our banana ice blend cocktails and gone for small, really tiny, shopping.
In fact it was a small shopping: just women'secret and L'Occitane! First one turned into a preschool underwear shopping center for girls under 16. Not much of a sexy stuff, only cute elephant pattern, grumpy/curious girls prints and some school themed prints on gray bras. Ugh!
L'Occitane was so much more exciting. No updates, just traditional well-known beautifully-scented products. You know, what i like the most about their products - smell and package design (i just could not dismiss that).
I got this amazing Red Rice Purifying Mask which I've tried earlier and I really liked. It's a very light and fast drying mask that gives you a fresh feeling after you rinse it off. The second product that I got today was Almond Apple Velvet Face Fluid SPF40. I can't really comment on this one much because I just got it today, but I would like to share with you my first impression. This face fluid feels really nice and soft to the skin, no irritation occurred after. I will be updating you later on how I'm adjusting to it. Another product which I liked from this line is Almond Apple Velvet Eye Gel. I recommend you trying at least one of these products if your skin belongs to the category from dry to oily. You won't regret it!
So this is it for today's review on my tiny shopping in Nicosia. Hope you enjoyed reading it!

Never ending flight
As I've mentioned earlier my parents were gonna arrive to Cyprus this Thursday. Our meeting time was planned for 14.55pm.
When I woke up this morning I already had a message from my mum saying: "We have arrived to Vienna." I thought: "Great! Soon I will see my mum and dad, and we all will be chilling by the sea, eating BBQ, driving around the sunny island and enjoying each others' company."
As we all probably know many things in life don't happen the way we expect them to be.
After they arrived to Vienna this morning they had a gap about 30 - 40 min between flights. They probably went straight for checking their bags, passport control, etc. When my parents showed their Pro-visa, staff took so long to check information on their visas that my parents had to miss their flight! It was so disappointing because I haven't seen my mummy and daddy for over 6 months + it's my mum's Birthday on the 16th that i wanted to celebrate so much with her.
So things turned out to be different, but not worse. Now they are flying back to London, where they left from, in order to get a direct flight to Larnaca (Cyprus). I'm so looking forward to seeing them tonight (23.00pm). I just want to give them big hugs and say how much I've missed them.:)

Midnight fun
July 31, 2009
My hopes won't be withered by the sun!
Still missing my Unic (University of Nicosia) life. It was so much fun, joy, a life full of emotions, beautiful personalities, crazy pre-parties, lunch cooked for a bunch of friends, trips to the Turkish side of the island... It's been a year now i haven't studied except from working on my thesis. Working on it was fun but not much of socializing like it used to be 1 year ago. Still life in Cyprus is beautiful even though it gets boring sometimes. I don't mind it to be honest as long as i get enough fun before i live this hot place for good. On September I'm enrolling to LCC for MA in Interactive Media. It's so exciting, i really cant wait. Me and AJ have decided on moving to London for a couple of years. But we have been going through some rough time lately. I may have to live in London for the first three months on my own until AJ sorts everything out in Cyprus. I will be letting you know on how things are getting along for us. I hope we both make it to the city of my dream eventually.:))))
